Carp Fish Farming

The growth potential of common carp is enormous. If the water temperature is suitable, its many forms and strains can attain an individual weight of about 0.2–0.3 kg, 1–1.2 kg and 2.5–3.5 kg within about 2–3, 5–7 and 10–14 months, respectively

About half the fish consumed today is raised globally through fish farming. Some of the common fish species that are farmed include tuna, salmon, halibut, cod, and trout. The aquafarms can be in the form of mesh cages submerged in water or concrete enclosures on land.
